Race series

What a series is

A series is a collection of events you direct, presented together. Attaching an event to a series doesn't change the event itself — each race keeps its own page, pricing, and registration. The series adds a layer on top: one shareable page listing every race, an optional "Bundle & Save" discount for athletes who sign up for several at once, and a combined overview of how the whole set is doing.

Creating a series and attaching events

1. Create the series

   The quickest path is from any of your events: open its director dashboard and click Series dashboard in the sidebar. From there you can attach the event to a series you already own, or create a new one on the spot. Series you own also appear in a Series section at the bottom of your Director events page.

2. Open the series dashboard

   Each series gets its own dashboard — a focused workspace with its own sidebar, just like an event's. Click a series card to open it.

3. Add your events

   On the Events page, pick from a dropdown of upcoming events you direct. Reorder them with the arrows — that's the order athletes see. You can remove an event again anytime.

4. Publish

   A new series starts as a draft — only you can see the page, with a draft-preview banner. Hit Publish in the top bar when you're ready.

Attaching an event never changes who directs it. If you want a fellow series director to manage one of the member events too, that's a separate, explicit grant on the Directors page (below).

The series dashboard

The sidebar covers: Overview (registrations, gross collected, and net-to-events totals summed across the series' current editions, with a per-event breakdown), QR code (a downloadable code pointing at your public series page), Branding & basics, Events, Bundle pricing, Hosting, Directors, and Settings. The top bar always shows the series status plus Copy link, View page, and the Publish / Move to draft toggle.

Branding & basics holds the name, tagline, description, a header photo and square icon, and a light-or-dark color mode for the public page.

What publishing requires

A series only goes public when its basics are complete: a name, a description, an icon, and at least one event. If something's missing, the Publish button tells you exactly what to finish. Until the series is live and complete, the public page returns "not found" to everyone but you.

Bundle pricing

There are two ways to reward multi-race athletes:

• Mix & match — you set a minimum number of races (at least 2) and a discount: either a percent off each entry, or a flat dollar amount off the whole bundle. When an athlete picks that many races (or more) in one checkout, the discount applies automatically. A flat discount is split across the chosen races in proportion to their entry prices, so the advertised total savings is exact. You can also write the label athletes see (e.g. "Register for 3+ races, save 10%").
• Curated packages — a named combo of two or more specific races sold as one tile ("Weekend Warrior: 5K + Half"). For each race you can pin a specific distance or leave it as runner's choice, then price the package as a fixed total (requires every distance pinned), a percent off, or dollars off. Packages get their own tile image and description, and you can hide, reorder, or delete them anytime.

Either way, the discount works like a coupon: it comes off each event's entry price, and the events absorb it. Bundle checkout requires that every race in the bundle shares one payout account — one charge has to land in one place. See Payouts for how payout accounts work.

What athletes see

The public series page shows your header photo, icon, tagline, and description, a "Hosted by" badge if a club hosts the series, and a card for each race with its date and location. When a bundle or package is available, a Bundle & Save banner leads to a showcase page with each package's price and savings, and from there into one combined checkout: athletes enter their personal details once, answer each race's questions, sign the waivers, and pay a single charge that registers them for every selected race. Series co-directors

On the Directors page you can add a co-director by email. Series directors can manage the series itself — branding, events, bundle pricing, hosting. Importantly, being a series director does not grant access to your events. When you add someone, you can optionally tick member events to also make them an event director — but only events you direct, and the chooser warns you that event access includes the full registrant list, private info included. Only the series owner can remove a director, with the option to revoke event access at the same time.

Hosting under a club

If you run a club on Run This, the Hosting page lets you host the series under it. The club's name and logo appear as a "Hosted by" badge on the public series page, linking to the club. You can remove the hosting link anytime.

Deleting a series

Only the owner can delete a series (on the Settings page). Deleting removes the series and its bundle pricing and detaches the member events — the events themselves stay, and anyone who registered through a bundle keeps their registrations.
