Clubs

Clubs are organized groups of runners — a local running club, a trail crew, a shop's group-run community. Anyone can start one, anyone can join a public one, and admins keep members up to date with posts.

Finding clubs

Open Clubs from the sidebar. You'll see the clubs you belong to up top, and a Discover grid of public clubs below. Tap any club to open its page.

Joining a club

On a public club's page, tap Join club. You become a member instantly and the club's posts start showing up for you. You can leave anytime with the Leave button — your spot in the roster is removed, and you can rejoin whenever you like.

A private club is visible to everyone, but joining takes approval. Tap Request to join and an admin reviews it — you'll see Request pending until they approve you (you can withdraw the request anytime). Once approved, you're a full member.

Only members can post, like, and comment in a club. On a public club you can read posts before joining, but you'll be prompted to join to take part.

What's on a club page

  • The header — the club's banner, logo, type (running, trail, triathlon…), member count, location, and a link to its website.
  • Posts — updates from the club. Any member can post, like, and comment — and like or reply to individual comments too (some clubs have admins approve posts first — see below).
  • Club Events — upcoming events the club hosts or has pinned. Tap Open Event to go to any of them.
  • Events Members Will Be At — upcoming races the club's members have registered for, bookmarked, or marked they'll be at. A great way to find runs to do together. (It shows how many members are going, never who.)
  • Members — the roster, with admins listed first. Tap a member to open their profile.

Club events & pinning

A club's Club Events tab gathers three kinds of events: the club's own club runs/events (below), races the club hosts (a director connected the event to the club — it shows a “Hosted by” badge on the event page), and races a club admin has pinned.

If you're an admin of a club, you can pin any event to it: open the event page, tap Save, and under Pin to a club toggle the clubs you want it to appear under. Pin to as many of your clubs as you like; unpin the same way.

Club runs & RSVP events

A club run/event is the casual kind — a weekly group run, a monthly social. There's no registration, no waivers, and no payments: you just tap I'll be there on a date (it flips to I won't be there if your plans change), see who else is going, and the date lands on your calendar. Your past RSVPs stay on your calendar forever — a running history of every time you showed up.

  • Recurring or one-time. Club events can repeat weekly, every other week, monthly on a date, or on patterns like “1st Tuesday of every month.” The next few dates are always open for RSVP.
  • Admins create and manage them. The New Club Event button on the club page asks whether you want a casual Club Run/Event or a full Official Event (registration, payments, the Director Dashboard). Any current club admin can edit any of the club's events — and can move or cancel a single date (holiday week? move Thursday's run to Wednesday) without touching the rest of the series. Everyone who RSVP'd is notified.
  • Visibility follows the club. A public club's events are public (admins can flip individual events to members-only); a private club's events are always members-only. If you RSVP to a club you haven't joined, you'll get a friendly invite to join — it's optional.
  • Discussion lives on the club's Posts feed — no separate comment wall per event.
  • Notifications are per club. Tap the bell on a club page to choose what pings you from that club: all posts, admin announcements only, or none — and whether new club events notify you. Changes to a date you RSVP'd to always reach you.

Starting your own club

Tap Start a club from the Clubs page. Give it a name (which becomes its web address — pick carefully, it can't change later), a type, a location, and an optional description and website. You become the club's owner. After creating it you'll land on the edit screen, where you can add a cover banner and logo.

Admins & posting

As the owner you can promote members to admin. Owners and admins edit the club's details, upload its banner and logo, approve join requests for a private club (on the Members tab), and moderate posts. Every member can post, like, and comment.

Post approval. By default members' posts go up immediately. On the Edit Club tab you can turn on Require admin approval for member posts — then a member's post waits in the Post approvals tab until an admin approves it (admins' own posts always publish instantly).

Owners and admins also get a Member Insights dashboard: total members, how the club has grown over time, and gender and age breakdowns. Those breakdowns are aggregate counts only — you see how many members fall in each group, never any individual member's gender or date of birth.

Run a race? On your event's dashboard, open Hosted by a club (under More settings) to connect it to a club you administer — it adds the “Hosted by” badge and lists the event under that club.
