Race history & trophies

Every race you run can earn a trophy on your Run This profile. The collection becomes a visual race resume — one icon per race, organized by year.

Find your trophies under Trophies

Your trophies live under Trophies in the sidebar. Trophies appear automatically — when you check in on race day, when official results are posted, or when you confirm you took part — and you can add past races by hand any time. When official results arrive, your trophy is verified and its time and place are filled in for you.

What a trophy is

A trophy is your record of one race you ran. The trophy "art" is the event's icon image. If you run the same race year after year, you get a trophy for each year — and if the director rebrands between editions, each trophy shows that year's logo, not the latest one.

Your trophy gallery splits into two tabs:

  • Races — actual organized races, with dates, distances, times, and placements.
  • Other — non-race events on Run This (group runs, weekly trail mixers, community runs). Same idea, no finish-line stats.

How you earn a trophy

Depending on how the race is set up, trophies arrive in your gallery one of four ways.

1. Registered on Run This + checked in + results posted

Best case. When the director publishes results after the race, a trophy is automatically added to your gallery with your bib, chip time, and overall placement filled in. No action needed from you.

2. Registered on Run This + checked in

Same flow, minus the results data. The trophy appears with your registration info filled in once you've been marked checked in on race day.

3. Registered on Run This, no check-in

After the event date passes, a trophy request lands in your dashboard asking "Did you actually run it?" Confirm and the trophy gets added.

4. Bookmarked as "I'll be there" — any race

If you bookmarked a race (Run This event OR outside event) marked as "I'll be there," after the race date a trophy request shows up. Confirm, fill in your stats, and the trophy is yours.

Result alerts — "your result is in"

When a race posts its official results on Run This, you don't have to go hunting for them. If your result is linked to your Run This account (it is automatically when you registered through Run This, or when the race's timer matched your bib to your registration), you get an in-app notification and a push the moment the director publishes — plus an email with your time and a link straight to your finisher page and shareable finisher card. Results added after publishing (say, from live timing) alert you the moment yours lands.

You're only ever alerted once per result. To turn the push off, toggle Race results in your notification settings — the email is part of your result record, like a registration confirmation, so it always sends.

Privacy

Trophies are public by default — they show on your public profile (runthis.run/u/yourname). You can hide any individual trophy from the public view, or hide the whole gallery from your profile-privacy settings.
