Page styles — Ticket & Overlap

Your event page can be laid out two ways. Each one is best for a different kind of event. Pick the one that matches your race's personality — you can switch anytime.

Ticket (default)

A wide hero photo with a "ticket" card overlapping the lower edge. The ticket holds the event name, date, location, and the Register button.

  • Hero image aspect ratio: 128:41 (very wide letterbox).
  • Best for: most races, especially when you have a great wide landscape photo.
  • Feel: classic event-page energy, magazine-y.

Overlap card

A taller portrait photo with the event title and icon overlaid at the bottom. Three columns on desktop — a Location card on the left, the hero in the middle, action cards on the right.

  • Hero image aspect ratio: 1200×1050 (8:7, near-square).
  • Best for: events with a vertical hero shot (trailhead sign, finish-line photo).
  • Feel: mobile-first energy, modern app layout, lots of structure.

You can upload a different photo for each style

Each style has its own image upload because the aspect ratios are different. If you switch styles, you upload an image appropriate for that style's crop. If you don't upload one, we fall back to the Ticket-style image, then to the Run This default brand cover.

Photos & videos gallery

Under Page style and images you can add extra photos and short videos to your event page. They appear as a thumbnail strip below the hero; anyone can tap a thumbnail to open a fullscreen slideshow. Any aspect ratio works — nothing gets cropped in the slideshow.

  • Videos autoplay (muted) as soon as they come up in the fullscreen slideshow, on both the website and the app. Tap the speaker button to turn sound on.
  • Keep clips short — up to 60 seconds each. Think promo teaser or last year's finish-line moment, not a full recap.
  • They're compressed in your browser before uploading to keep quality high and load times fast, so a large clip can take up to a minute to process. You'll see a progress bar.
  • Drag the arrows on a thumbnail to reorder — photos and videos can be mixed in any order you like.
