Bookmarks and your calendar

Save races to a personal list and view them on your calendar. Friends you follow see when you bookmark something — it's how Run This builds a social race calendar.

Bookmarking a race

Click the bookmark icon on any event page or list card. The race is added to your personal saved-events list, and a small pop-up lets you optionally leave a note to your future self ("road-trip with Sarah", "PR attempt", etc.).

Find everything you've bookmarked at runthis.run/bookmarks.

Your calendar

Your calendar at runthis.run/calendar shows every race you have a relationship with. Each event is color-coded by your relationship type:

  • Registered — you've signed up through Run This.
  • Bookmarked — you've saved it.
  • Volunteer — you signed up to volunteer.
  • Director — you're hosting it.
  • Friends — someone you follow is registered or marked "I'll be there." Tap the event to see which friends are going. (A friend simply bookmarking a race doesn't put it here — that's just interest, not a plan to show up.)

Adding races to your phone calendar

Every event page has an "Add to calendar" button. It downloads a standard .ics file that Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and Outlook all read. If the race date changes later, you'll need to re-download the file to pick up the update.

Subscribe instead of downloading

Google Calendar and Apple Calendar can subscribe to a calendar feed by URL. If you want event dates to stay in sync automatically when a director updates them, ask your calendar app to subscribe to the same .ics URL instead of just opening it as a one-shot import.
