The Feed

The Feed is the social stream at the center of your dashboard — what the people you follow are running, posts from your clubs and communities, and updates from the races you're part of.

Where to find it

The Feed is the center column of your home Dashboard (the first item in the sidebar). Four tabs control the mix: All (the default), Following, My Clubs, and My Communities.

What shows up

Three streams flow into the All tab:

  • People you follow. Their posts, plus their activity — registering for a race, saving one, marking “I'll be there,” joining a club or community, earning a trophy, and Run This Runner game milestones. Your own activity shows too.
  • Clubs and communities you belong to. Posts from groups you're an active member of. Group posts are member-only: even for a public club, you see its posts in your feed by being a member, not by following the person who wrote them.
  • Events you're part of. Registering for or saving an event subscribes you to its content — community wall posts, comments on the event, and director announcements.

Event subscriptions bring you event content, not strangers

Being registered for the same race as someone doesn't put their personal activity in your feed. Another registrant's “signed up” card only reaches their followers — what your event subscription adds is posts and announcements addressed to the event's people.

Posting to the feed

The Share an update composer sits at the top of the feed. Write a post, attach up to four photos, @mention people (they get notified), and optionally mark it as a question. Your post goes out to the feeds of everyone who follows you. Every post also has its own link — anyone with that link can open the post, so treat feed posts as public.

Prefer to keep quiet? The Share my activity switch in Edit profile stops broadcasting your incidental activity — saves, registrations, RSVPs, and club joins — to your followers' feeds. Posts you write always show regardless; they're deliberate, not incidental.

Likes and comments

Every feed card — posts and activity alike — can be liked and commented on. Comments support one level of replies and @mentions, and comments themselves can be liked. Authors are notified when you comment, reply, like, or mention them (each has its own toggle in notification settings).

Hiding, reporting, and removing

The ⋯ menu on a card adapts to whose it is:

  • Someone else's content Hide this post removes it from your feed only (everyone else still sees it), Report sends it to Run This moderation, and Block hides that person's content from you — and yours from them — everywhere.
  • Your own postDelete post permanently removes it.
  • Your own activity card (a save, registration, RSVP, or trophy) — Remove from feeds takes the card off everyone's feed without undoing the thing itself: you stay registered, keep the save, keep the trophy.

Club, community, and event posts are managed where they live — on the club, community, or event page — so their feed cards don't offer a delete.
