Registering & your receipts
Register for any Run This event straight from its event page — for yourself, and for connected family or friends in the same cart. One payment, one receipt, and everything lands in My Registrations.
How registration works
Tap Register on an event page and walk a few short steps: signing in (if you aren't already), who's registering (you, plus any connected accounts), their details, circles & waivers, then checkout. Events with team sub-events add a team step — create a team or join one with its invite code. Your progress is saved in the tab as you go, so a refresh won't lose your work.
The price you see is the price you pay
Every total shown — on the sub-event picker, the sticky cart bar, and the Pay button — already includes the processing fee. There's no surprise added at the last step. The checkout breakdown itemizes registrations, any donation, and the processing fee before you pay.
- Free events are free. A $0 sub-event (or a 100%-off coupon) charges you nothing — no card needed, no fees.
- Coupons apply before fees, so the fee is computed on what you actually pay. Codes are shown in capitals and never contain spaces — the box takes care of that as you type, and capitalisation doesn’t affect whether a code works.
- Registering together saves a little — one cart pays the per-transaction processing flat fee once.
- If a price changes while your cart is open (early-bird windows roll over), checkout tells you the updated total before you pay — never after.
Registering a kid or family member (dependents)
A dependent is someone you register without them needing their own Run This account — usually a child. On the registration page's first step, tap Add a dependent, enter their name, date of birth, and gender once, and they're saved to your account: next time they appear as a one-tap tile beside your connected accounts. You can also manage dependents from Connected Accounts in your profile settings.
- Their details prefill each registration; your email and address fill in as the household contact.
- Only you can see a dependent's saved info — events receive just what's on each registration.
- Their race history and trophies build under your account, and the same one-spot-per-person rules apply to them.
Adding a donation
If the event runs a fundraiser, you can add a donation at checkout. The event receives 100% of the amount you choose; a small fee is added to your total.
Your confirmation & receipt
After paying you land on a confirmation page with your confirmation number, each registrant's event and bib number (when assigned at registration), the full payment breakdown, an add-to-calendar button, and a share button. That page is your receipt — you can return to it any time from the link in My Registrations.
My Registrations
Every race you're registered for lives at /registrations — including registrations a connected account (a parent or partner) bought for you. Each card shows the event, distance, date, bib, and confirmation number. It's also where you switch to a different distance when an event allows transfers.
If a payment fails
A declined card keeps you on the checkout step with the decline reason — your cart is untouched and you can try a different card immediately. You're never charged for a failed attempt, and a registration only exists once payment actually succeeds.
Your details are frozen at registration
