The Run This story
It started with a simple question
“What are you training for?”
Run This was founded in 2023 by Nashville-based runner Kelby Dover with one goal: never miss a race his friends were running.
As Kelby got more involved in Nashville's running scene, he kept asking friends the same thing on group runs: “What are you training for?” The answers usually led to the same frustration: the race was already full, or it needed months of training he hadn't planned for. The existing platforms weren't built for keeping up with friends' race plans, so he built one that was. Run This started as a way to follow friends, see their race calendars, and share events effortlessly.
But it didn't stop there. As more runners used Run This, race organizers saw the potential and asked if they could use it for event registration. What began as a tool for runners grew into something bigger: a platform that connects athletes, races, and the running community in one place.
For too long, the space between runners and races has been disconnected: athletes train, race directors organize, but there's no real bridge between the two. Run This brings it all together. It's more than a registration platform. It's where training, community, and racing intersect, so no one misses a race their friends are running.
